Jelly Roll x Post Malone

May 3, 2025 | Las Vegas, NV

This was my second time shooting Post Malone — the first was at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas — but this felt like a whole different world. The scale was bigger, the vibe was different, and Post’s new country direction brought an unexpected layer to the night. The crowd at Allegiant Stadium leaned country — boots, hats, and all — and the atmosphere reflected that shift, blending Nashville energy with Vegas spectacle.

The night kicked off with Chandler Walters, who not only opened the show but also played steel guitar in Post’s band, setting the tone with a blend of twang and attitude that matched the stadium’s scale.

Next was Sierra Ferrell, whose emotionally raw performance captured the crowd with a sound that felt intimate despite the massive venue. Her stunning set design added to the moment — moody lighting and vintage stage pieces that framed her unique voice and style perfectly.

Then came Jelly Roll, who brought the house down with a full-throttle set that pulled no punches. His mix of soul, rap, and country hits hit hard in a space like Allegiant. And when Chad Kroeger of Nickelback joined him onstage, it was one for the books. Their collaboration was a powerhouse moment that had the crowd in a frenzy.

Later in the night, Jelly Roll returned to the stage to join Post Malone for a performance of their duet, Losers. The collaboration, featured on Post’s 2024 album F-1 Trillion, was a standout moment, blending their styles seamlessly and energizing the crowd.

Finally, Post Malone hit the stage and proved again why he’s one of the most compelling artists out right now. He balanced his new country sound with his older genre-blending catalog, jumping from I Had Some Help to Wow. to Feeling Whitney without losing the crowd for a second.

The stage setup was massive — pyro, towers of light, and a layout that let Post move from end to end and connect with every corner of the stadium. He was laid-back, grinning between songs, giving toasts, thanking fans, and making the space feel smaller — like a backyard hangout, just louder and with more fireballs.

One of the quieter standout moments came during Stay, performed with just an acoustic guitar, a single spotlight, and 60,000 fans singing every word back to him. It was simple, sincere, and powerful — the kind of moment that reminds you why live music hits different.

This show felt bigger than just another tour stop. Between the genre crossover, the special guests, and the stadium crowd that showed up ready for anything, The Big Ass Stadium Tour delivered something that’ll stick with anyone who was there.
