Yellowcard Live in Las Vegas | The Up Up Down Down Tour

Yellowcard brought The Up Up Down Down Tour to Las Vegas on May 30 alongside New Found Glory and Plain White T’s, packing BleauLive Theater with a crowd that barely let the room breathe all night.

Plain White T’s opened with a run through some of their biggest songs, immediately pulling the crowd in. “Hey There Delilah” turned the entire venue into a singalong within seconds, with most of the room louder than the PA by the first chorus. Their performance kept things loose early on and gave the night a strong opening before the pace shifted completely.

New Found Glory wasted no time changing the atmosphere. Their performance hit hard from the start, ripping through fan favorites with almost no pause between songs. Crowd surfing started early and never really stopped, while the floor stayed in motion for nearly the entire time they were onstage. Every song felt louder than the last, with the crowd feeding directly off the energy coming from the band.

Yellowcard opened with “Better Days,” their track featuring Travis Barker, before moving into a mix of longtime staples and newer material that kept the crowd locked in from start to finish. The band’s Nintendo and video game inspired visual theme carried through the lighting and stage production, giving the performance a look that felt completely tied to the identity of the tour.

What stood out most was how naturally the band moved between the emotional weight of their slower material and the urgency of the heavier songs without losing the room for a second. One moment had the crowd hanging onto every word, the next had the entire floor jumping in sync. Sean Mackin’s violin still gives Yellowcard a live dynamic that few bands from that era ever managed to replicate, cutting cleanly through the mix and giving even the oldest songs a different kind of impact live.

By the time “Ocean Avenue” closed the night, the crowd had completely taken over. The final chorus barely belonged to the band anymore.
